Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jackson Pollock achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work without title sold for USD 315,000.00 (€ 293,542.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jackson Pollock erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 315.000,00 (€ 293.542,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jackson Pollock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 17, 1951 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.161.000,00 (€ 54.187.117,92).
