Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition by Jackson Pollock was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition von Jackson Pollock kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jackson Pollock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 17, 1951 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.161.000,00 (€ 54.187.117,92).
