Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Brake Iii by Jack Tworkov. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,249.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Tworkov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watergame, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 396,800.00 (€ 336,556.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brake Iii von Jack Tworkov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.249,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Tworkov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watergame beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 396.800,00 (€ 336.556,40) versteigert wurde.
