Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Judy by Jack Levine. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,507.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Judy von Jack Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.507,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Princess im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 66.676,94).
