Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack Levine could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Old And The New changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,173.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Levine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
