Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Careless Love by Jack Levine was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 204.00 (€ 184.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Careless Love von Jack Levine kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 204,00 (€ 184,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Princess im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 66.676,94).
