Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack Levine could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Works of Art auction, the work Girl in Orange changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 651.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).
