This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, The Princess is the most expensive artwork by Jack Levine that we have observed at auction so far.
