Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Offering by Jack Levine was sold in the American Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,680.00 (€ 7,085.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Levine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).
