In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work El Equilibrista by Ivan Tovar. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,320.00 (€ 33,065.44), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ivan Tovar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Menace in May 2020 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 225,265.81).

Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit El Equilibrista von Ivan Tovar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 33.065,44) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Tovar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Menace im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 225.265,81).
