The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,474.31), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Tovar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Menace, which sold at auction in May 2020 for USD 250,000.00 (€ 225,265.81).

Die Arbeit Untitled (C. Como Carmen) von Ivan Tovar wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.474,31) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Tovar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Menace beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für USD 250.000,00 (€ 225.265,81) versteigert wurde.
