In December 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Piege by Ivan Tovar. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Tovar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Menace in May 2020 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 225,265.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piege von Ivan Tovar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Tovar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Menace im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 225.265,81).
