Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Unconscious by Hyon Gyon for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,227.35). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hyon Gyon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Was Broken, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 59,174.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unconscious von Hyon Gyon für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.227,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hyon Gyon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Was Broken beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 59.174,40) versteigert wurde.
