Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Financial District by Howard Cook was sold in the First Impression Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in July 2013. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,517.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Howard Cook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fog Patterns #2 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,304.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Financial District von Howard Cook wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion First Impression Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.517,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Cook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fog Patterns #2 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.304,95).
