This artwork by Herbert Ferber achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Calligraph Series #2 sold for USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,452.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert Ferber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of D.H. Ii in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 74,783.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Herbert Ferber erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Calligraph Series #2 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.452,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Ferber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of D.H. Ii im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 74.783,73).
