In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work The Disciples See Christ Walking on the Water, 1905-15 by Henry Ossawa Tanner. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,295.00 (€ 1,982.38), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Ossawa Tanner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nicodemus Coming to Christ in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 347,686.38).

Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Disciples See Christ Walking on the Water, 1905-15 von Henry Ossawa Tanner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.295,00 (€ 1.982,38) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Ossawa Tanner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nicodemus Coming to Christ im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 541.000,00 (€ 347.686,38).
