Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Heinrich Friedrich Füger for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,605.56). This price was achieved in the auction European Noble & Private Collections Including Fine Tapestries Part I at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heinrich Friedrich Füger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jupiter in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 182,979.20).
