This artwork by Heinrich Friedrich Füger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction, the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As Count Wilczck, Circa 1795 sold for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 21,958.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Heinrich Friedrich Füger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jupiter in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 182,979.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Heinrich Friedrich Füger erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Traditionally Identified As Count Wilczck, Circa 1795 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 21.958,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Heinrich Friedrich Füger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jupiter im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 182.979,20).
