Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Harold Shapinsky was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2011. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,659.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Shapinsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,956.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Shapinsky wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.659,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Shapinsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.956,92) versteigert wurde.
