Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Harold Shapinsky was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,667.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harold Shapinsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,956.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Shapinsky kam im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.667,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harold Shapinsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.956,92).
