Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Hannah Wilke. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,806.26), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Wilke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work S.O.S. Starification Object Series in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 708,500.00 (€ 599,762.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hannah Wilke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.806,26) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Wilke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit S.O.S. Starification Object Series im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 708.500,00 (€ 599.762,97).
