Auction result well in line with expectations
The work S. O. S. Starification Object Series by Hannah Wilke was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 38,092.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Wilke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work S.O.S. Starification Object Series in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 708,500.00 (€ 599,762.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit S. O. S. Starification Object Series von Hannah Wilke kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 38.092,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Wilke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit S.O.S.
