Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rovesciare i propri occhi (Reversing One's Eyes) by Giuseppe Penone was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,800.00 (€ 46,725.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rovesciare i propri occhi (Reversing One's Eyes) von Giuseppe Penone wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.800,00 (€ 46.725,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
