Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giuseppe Penone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in December this year. In the Post War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Albero di due metri sold for EUR 178,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Penone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Penone erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Albero di due metri für EUR 178.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
