In the 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part I auction, the work Pelle di grafite - Riflesso di bauxite sold for EUR 176,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Penone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Penone erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part I wurde die Arbeit Pelle di grafite - Riflesso di bauxite für EUR 176.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
