Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part I, which included the work Spoglia d'oro su pelle di cedro by Giuseppe Penone. The price achieved of EUR 88,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spoglia d'oro su pelle di cedro von Giuseppe Penone zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 88.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
