Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in Paris held the auction La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine, which included the work 53 Unghiate by Giuseppe Penone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 63,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion La couleur à l'oeuvre - Une collection contemporaine durch, in der auch die Arbeit 53 Unghiate von Giuseppe Penone zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 63.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
