Despite a disappointment, a good price for Giuseppe Penone
In May 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Idee di pietra by Giuseppe Penone for USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84). This price was achieved in the auction The Great Wonderful: 100 Years of Italian Art at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Idee di pietra is the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Penone that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Giuseppe Penone
Im Mai 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Idee di pietra von Giuseppe Penone für USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84) erwerben.
