Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Giorgio Cavallon was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,307.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Cavallon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunday Morning in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,310.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Giorgio Cavallon wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.307,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Cavallon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunday Morning im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 118.310,10).
