Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Giorgio Cavallon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,014.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Cavallon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunday Morning in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,310.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Giorgio Cavallon kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.014,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Cavallon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunday Morning im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 118.310,10).
