Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Yoke, from 'Portfolio of Prints by British Artists' by Gertrude Hermes was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 712.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Hermes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Butterfly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 77,768.60).

Die Arbeit The Yoke, from 'Portfolio of Prints by British Artists' von Gertrude Hermes kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 712,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Hermes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Butterfly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 77.768,60).
