The work Bees by Gertrude Hermes was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 892.50 (€ 1,007.55), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Hermes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Butterfly in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 77,768.60).

Die Arbeit Bees von Gertrude Hermes wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.007,55) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Hermes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Butterfly im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 77.768,60).
