The work Leaping Salmon by Gertrude Hermes was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,175.51), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gertrude Hermes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Butterfly, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 77,768.60).

Die Arbeit Leaping Salmon von Gertrude Hermes wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.175,51) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Hermes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Butterfly beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 77.768,60) versteigert wurde.
