Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George H. Seeley could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Maiden with Bowl changed hands for USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,628.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George H. Seeley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Two Figures, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,799.09).
