Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Lilies, C. 1915 by George H. Seeley was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,068.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by George H. Seeley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Landscape With Two Figures was auctioned for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,799.09).
