Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pilar on the Rio Grande; Courtyard in Chimayo 2 by Gene Kloss was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,406.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gene Kloss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,569.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pilar on the Rio Grande; Courtyard in Chimayo 2 von Gene Kloss kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.406,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gene Kloss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 23.569,92).
