Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (J. 21) by Fred Sandback. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,630.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Sandback achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 495,724.94).
