A top price for Fred Sandback - as previously expected
The work Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) by Fred Sandback was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 545,000.00 (€ 495,724.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) is the most expensive artwork by Fred Sandback that we have observed at auctions so far.
