Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No One- In Particular # 10 by Evan Penny was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 46,471.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evan Penny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L. Faux: Black & White, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,187.66).
