Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Female Stretch #1 by Evan Penny. It changed hands for a price of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,442.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 45,000.00 – 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evan Penny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L. Faux: Black & White, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,187.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Female Stretch #1 von Evan Penny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.442,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 45.000,00 – 55.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Evan Penny mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L. Faux: Black & White beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 145.000,00 (€ 93.187,66) versteigert wurde.
