Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work (Old) Stretch #3 by Evan Penny for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,504.78). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evan Penny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L. Faux: Black & White, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,187.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit (Old) Stretch #3 von Evan Penny für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.504,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Evan Penny mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L. Faux: Black & White beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 145.000,00 (€ 93.187,66) versteigert wurde.
