Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Dohn Abstraction In Yellow by Esphyr Slobodkina was worth GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,828.39) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Esphyr Slobodkina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Toys in the Attic sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 67,927.86).
