Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work In Midstream, Variation #5 by Esphyr Slobodkina for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,469.22). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Esphyr Slobodkina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toys in the Attic in July last year with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 67,927.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit In Midstream, Variation #5 von Esphyr Slobodkina für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.469,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Esphyr Slobodkina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toys in the Attic im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 67.927,86).
