Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Esphyr Slobodkina could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Coral Touches changed hands for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,688.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Esphyr Slobodkina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toys in the Attic in July last year with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 67,927.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Esphyr Slobodkina konnte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Coral Touches für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.688,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Esphyr Slobodkina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toys in the Attic im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 67.927,86).
