This artwork by El Lissitzky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in September 2021. In the A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf auction, the work Proun 2 B From Proun sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,514.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by El Lissitzky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 947,250.00 (€ 1,099,444.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von El Lissitzky erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf wurde die Arbeit Proun 2 B From Proun für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.514,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von El Lissitzky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 947.250,00 (€ 1.099.444,42).
