The work Plate 3, from 1. Kestnermappe Proun by El Lissitzky was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2019. It achieved a price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,049.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by El Lissitzky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 947,250.00 (€ 1,099,444.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Plate 3, from 1. Kestnermappe Proun von El Lissitzky kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.049,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von El Lissitzky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 947.250,00 (€ 1.099.444,42).
