In April 2016 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Colossus that Rebelled, Colossus Insurgent by Egor Zigura. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,154.47), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Egor Zigura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colossus which Awakens in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,383.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im April 2016 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colossus that Rebelled, Colossus Insurgent von Egor Zigura zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.154,47) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egor Zigura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colossus which Awakens im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.383,24).
