This artwork by Egor Zigura achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2017. In the New Now auction, the work Colossus Holds Up the World sold for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Egor Zigura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colossus which Awakens in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,383.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Egor Zigura erzielte im September 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Colossus Holds Up the World für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Egor Zigura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colossus which Awakens im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.383,24).
