Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work Atlas by Egor Zigura. The price achieved of GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,114.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Egor Zigura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colossus which Awakens, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,383.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Atlas von Egor Zigura zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.114,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Egor Zigura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colossus which Awakens beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.383,24) versteigert wurde.
