The work Aparato Mágico by Edgar Negret was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 49,204.53) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edgar Negret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aparato Mágico, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).

Die Arbeit Aparato Mágico von Edgar Negret wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 49.204,53) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edgar Negret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aparato Mágico beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert wurde.
